Carey is on the dance faculty at: Franklin School for the Performing Arts
Teaching Statement Carey currently teaches at Cambridge School of Weston, Walnut Hill School, Franklin School for the Performing Arts and with Mass Movement in the Boston Public Schools. She teaches modern dance, ballet, jazz, improvisation, conditioning, and creative movement; and incorporates partnering skills, composition, performance skills, and cultural studies into her classes. By combining these elements, Carey gives students a fuller understanding of what dance is, where is comes from, why we do it and how we do it. Carey is keenly focused on teaching and inspiring others to explore what dance has to offer them. Her abilities to create a learning environment; communicate ideas and make the process and subject matter enjoyable have enabled her to positively influence her students and their learning.
